Richard B. Weed Joins SES ESOP Strategies

BOSTON, MA, January 5, 2023 – Richard B. Weed has joined SES ESOP Strategies as a Business Development Professional based in the firm’s new office in Boston.

In his role, Mr. Weed will assist various companies, owners and other stakeholders on business transition strategies, with a particular focus on ESOP ownership transactions.

Prior to joining SES ESOP Strategies, Mr. Weed was a Team Lead at Mackenzie, one of Canada’s largest investment firms. He also has held various leadership and executive roles at hedge fund and investment advisory firms where he oversaw the development and growth of a range of portfolio and investment funds.

Mr. Weed is a member of the CFA Institute, Boston Security Analysts Society and the Chicago Quantitative Alliance. He also serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of Marblehead Current, a regional nonprofit news organization.

Mr. Weed holds an M.S. in Management from MIT, an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
