BALA CYNWYD, PA, April 14, 2021 – Stevens & Lee is proud to announce that Shareholder Sean-Tamba Matthew has been named to Philadelphia Business Journal’s list of 40 Under 40 professionals making their marks in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Sean is also part of the SES ESOP Strategies team.
For more than three decades, this accolade annually recognizes emerging leaders in the regional business community. Honorees derive from various industries and are selected for their extraordinary professional, philanthropic and civic endeavors.
Mr. Matthew advises companies, business owners, boards of directors and employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) trustees on transactional, corporate governance and formation matters related to the design and implementation of ESOPs. His work includes drafting and negotiating agreements and other documents for stock purchases, leveraged buyouts, mergers, reorganizations and corporate governance and formation matters. Mr. Matthew serves on the Advisory Board of Talley Management Group, an ESOP-owned company based in Mt. Royal, NJ.
As an advocate for community growth, Mr. Matthew serves on the Board of Directors of Independence Mission Schools, a network of 15 independent Catholic schools whose mission is providing a transformative education to children of all faiths across Philadelphia, and Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, an organization dedicated to alleviating food insecurity in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Mr. Matthew earned his J.D. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
