FORT WORTH, TX, March 17, 2021 – Mark B. Russell, Head of Finance for SES ESOP Strategies, was recently selected to serve as Treasurer and member of the Organizational Board of the Texas Center for Employee Ownership (TXCEO).
The organization officially launched earlier this month, and is an independent member of the Employee Ownership Expansion Network. The goal of the non-profit organization is to inform business owners in the Lone Star State about the benefits of employee ownership opportunities, including employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). In addition to supporting TXCEO, SES ESOP Strategies is also a National Service Provider for the Employee Ownership Expansion Network.
Mr. Russell is head of the finance group at SES ESOP Strategies, a Stevens & Lee/Griffin Company, and a Senior Managing Director at Griffin Financial Group. He works with business owners to determine whether an ESOP is the right business transition/succession vehicle to achieve their specific goals and objectives. If it is, through modeling and financial analysis Mr. Russell helps them determine the appropriate structure to achieve their goals and objectives. He also assists in raising the financing for the ESOP transaction and/or to recapitalize the business. Once an ESOP has been established, he works with owners and management regarding second stage transactions, sustainability of the ESOP and the company, acquisition opportunities, financing strategies and potential sales of the ESOP owned company.
Mr. Russell is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He holds Series 79, 7 and 66 licenses from FINRA. He has an LL.M. in Taxation, with distinction, from Georgetown University Law Center, an MBA from Texas Tech University School of Business, a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law and a BBA in Accounting from Texas Christian University.
