WASHINGTON, D.C., May 4-6 – Sean-Tamba Matthew of SES ESOP Strategies presented at The ESOP Association 2022 National Conference, held at the TEA International Employee Ownership Center in Washington, D.C., on May 4-6.
Mr. Matthew was joined by Ginny Vanderslice, Principal at Praxis Consulting, and Sean Kelleher, Managing Director of First Financial Bank, in the session “Roles & Responsibilities of Leader & Employee Owners in an ESOP.” Discussion focused on how companies change as employee owners gain responsibility and how the transition to employee ownership can be handled as roles and obligations shift.
Mr. Matthew advises companies, business owners, boards of directors and employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) trustees on transactional, corporate governance and formation matters related to the design and implementation of ESOPs. Sean’s work includes drafting and negotiating agreements and other documents for stock purchases, leveraged buyouts, mergers, reorganizations and corporate governance and formation matters.
He began his career as a corporate transactional lawyer, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, fund services, venture financing and marketplace/P2P lending. His experience also includes advising nonprofit, charitable and other tax-exempt organizations and social enterprises. Mr. Matthew holds a J.D. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
