BALA CYNWYD, PA, Dec. 3, 2019 – Sean-Tamba Matthew of SES ESOP Strategies spoke at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s 25th Annual Business Law Institute on Nov. 22, 2019, in Philadelphia, PA.
Mr. Matthew co-presented “The Advantages of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) for a Closely-Held Business Owner” along with Richard A. Heeter of Capital Trustees. The presenters discussed ownership transfer options and provided a thorough overview of ESOPs as a tool for succession planning. Attendees learned about the benefits ESOPs can provide to closely held and family businesses.
Mr. Matthew advises companies, business owners, boards of directors and ESOP trustees on transactional, corporate governance and formation matters related to the design and implementation of ESOPs. His work includes drafting and negotiating agreements and other documents for stock purchases, leveraged buyouts, mergers, reorganizations and corporate governance and formation matters.
He has a J.D. from Temple University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
